Healthy food solutions for all
Nowadays, we pay more and more attention to what we eat. Not only are we looking for products to remain healthy, we also want to find products which respect our environment.
What shall we find on our plate tomorrow? What will be the agriculture model of the years to come? What will the consequences be for our planet?
Remaining faithful to its pioneering role, Nutrition & Santé are already anticipating the food solution for tomorrow, to be ready to answer to your demand
Organic first
From very early on, Nutrition & Santé, built on the firm belief that producing organic products is more respectful to the environment and human beings, made the choice of organic.
The first French player in organic food since 1972, Céréal revolutionized the organic offer in supermarkets with the launch of Céréal Bio in 2007. Soy has also been a leader in specialty stores since 1982.
"Free-from" products
In France, 1 in 10 households consume gluten-free products, corresponding to an 80-million-euro market!
Today, more than 150 million Europeans suffer from chronic allergy diseases. This is predicted to grow to 50% of the European population by 2025. The global gluten-free products market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9,1% till 2025.
Nutrition & Santé, already present on the “gluten-free” market, acquired in 2013, Valpiform to produce in house. Today, thanks to our brands Allergo and Valpiform/Valpibio, we have a leading position in France and are also very well represented in our subsidiaries (Céréal in Italy and Bénélux, Gerblé in Spain).
What if eating more plant-based foods were also good for your health?
For 40 years, we’ve been committed to helping you eat more plant-based and organic foods, and today this is recognized as beneficial to our health. An increasing number of scientists and specialists are studying the effects of a more plant-based diet on our health.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in its 2021 report, a plant-based diet is good for your health, and the organization recommends prioritizing plant-based dishes.
In France, the new nutritional guidelines (National Nutrition and Health Program 4) include pulses and legumes as a new specific category whose consumption should be increased, just like that of whole grains.
These recommendations are aimed at rebalancing the sources of protein in our diet. Today, we consume 65% animal protein and only 35% plant-based protein, whereas nutritionists recommend achieving a 50/50 balance.
From the pitchfork to the table fork
dialogue and understanding
Eating choices today, not only need to be made in full consciousness for our health, but also with an ecological awareness to preserve the planet and people. Transparency and traceability requirements have become stronger in order to monitor production, distribution, and marketing means. New tools and applications, facilitate the communication between members of dedicated communities to inform, alert, and exchange in real time, on the links between agriculture, industry, food, health and environment.
For us, at Nutrition & Santé, transparency is essential to build a sustainable future. That’s why we pay particular attention to the quality of our dialogues with each of our stakeholders: consumers, employees, partners and shareholders… as well as designing our future marketing strategies to accompany the digitalization of consumption.
Think global, act local
We are more and more concerned about the production methods, the economic and human impact of our consumption.
In many cases, our choices are guided by ethical criteria, whether in terms of production or respect for the territories and the people who work the land.
At the heart of these aspirations we are confronted with societal stakes, such as local production and short circuits, respect for the land and seasons, reasoned and organic agriculture, and the fight against food waste.
Nutrition & Santé wants to improve our consumers’ habits and the lives of the local ecosystems in which we operate. Our ambition? To facilitate the access of our products for our consumers, wherever they are on the planet and whatever their habits.
By supporting local quality sectors and regional production, Nutrition & Santé creates wealth and jobs.
